Deck time again

Well the right deal came along, so my old deck is gone, and a new one is needed.. I will likely wait until the big4 sale and see if anything comes up, but right now I'm thinking along the lines of a Pioneer Premier DEH-P780MP, the premier version of the 7800 (which is just an extra yr warrenty) So any other suggestions in that range would be good, I think I seen it at futureshop for 500cad (but I will not be buying it there)

I think Visions has the 7800 for 499 installed, sor probably 450 if you just walk out the door with it.

I'm looking at this deck too, but i'm waiting for the big sale as well just to see.

By the way, that is an awesome deck, I just bought the 880 for my vehicle. I think I spent about a month debateing between the 780, and the 880. I went with the 880 cause I like the Classic look of the faceplate, but the 780 color screen is pretty sweet.

Excellent choice of deck, no matter where you buy it.

I looked over the 880, but that was the reason I passed on it; the face.. I don't care for that look myself.. I was kind of hoping I'd hear more suggestions.. I've been doing some reading and apparently kenwoods excelon's are pretty good as of late (I had some bad experience with them 5 or 6 yrs back, and vowed never to get one again, but times change I guess) The Kenwood eXcelon KDC-X890 is in that range as well, as are a handful of clarions, panasonics and sonys, but there just isn't enough reviwes out there for me to go over to them and leave the bigger names of pioneer, alpine, kenwood, eclipse even....

I've never been to the Car Salon, they don't have hours of business on their site, and they're too far away from me to go check.

I like the visions on near richmond and sarcee, once you get past the salesmen of course. But at least they'll deal, unlike fs.
