Couldn't believe this but it seems the EVO X will sold in the States before it is in Japan...

Not surprised ..

US is the biggest market for those cars ..

even STI .. EVO now .. japanese don't really like those cars anymore .. ( as it used to be in the early 90's )

However, americans still love those cars so much!

And this EVO X is probably designed for Americans as well.

Hopefully, it will come to Canada .. :)

im not surprised. since mitsu in the US might pull out if the new cars dont do well.

might as well bring its big guns to a knife fight and see if it can last in the US.

:werd: Those RX-8 plastic fender flares look like ass, and I'm sure theres going to be plenty of after market tail lights out there if that is what they'll actually look like.

You can tell its super americanized, its nothing like the japanese mitsus at all. It looks huge too, I hope they don't used a heavy ass chassis like they did or the eclipse. The front end is cool but the rest looks like garbage. Guess we will see

The front does look amazing, but yeah, looks very Madza-ish from the other views. The front mounted intercooler isn't so visible and prominent as on the earlier Evos, so maybe it will come to Canada. It was my understanding that the i/c location on the earlier ones prevented Transport Canada approval as it took too much damage in minor collisions.

And please, let there be a 'wing delete' check box on the option list....

its ugly, the older evo's looked so much better.
the only nice thing about it is the front and that
still doesnt make up for the rest of the car.

Taillights are kind of gay, and the grille looks cheap, but it's a sexy car overall

IMO they should have gone more along the VW lines for grille "filler" instead of trying to make it look like a meshed-out tuner car...

It's basically a reskinned Dodge Caliber.

Why do uninformed people keep saying this? The worst was over for them a couple of years ago and they have been making gains. They sell almost the same amount of cars as Subaru and nobody says that Subaru is going out of business. The new Outlander is coming out soon then the new Lancer. They make royalties off the world engine with Chrysler & Hyundai & make the platform for the succesful Caliber & Jeep equivalent. They aren't going anywhere.

Much like the WRX, old EVO's have 'take it or leave it' styling depending on your taste. The old one's looks are 'boy racer' as is the new one. Looks are only part of the package as the EVO is a world class car. For the money nothing comes close to it on a track with the exception of the STi which is close but can't quite match it's handling.
