Went to battle of the imports in Edmonton

They call this event battle of the imports but in reality all it is a race involving domestics breaking and the imports having to wait 2 hours to run 18 second quarter miles. Some fo the times were respectable but there were so many crappy carsthat it was such a waste of time. That mk4 supra tt that was at v8less ran a 12.4, that car has 11's in it for sure so I was impressed with that. there were quite a few turbo hondas this year, do you guys remember that red eg civic hatch with all the nitrous and the turbo kit? It ran a 13.8 which wasnt bad...although with all it had done to it, I'm sure it could be made to go faster.
Did anyone else go to this event, hopefully the next one 3 weeks from now is better cause I hate wastign my time.

redlynemr2- that was not the Supra T from v8less, but rather a TRD kit one from who knows where. It ran a 12.4 but almost stalled off the start, prob could have done < 11.0

No that was a supra TT cause it I own it!
My best time of the day was a 12.2 @123mph with a 2.2 60ft
thats a low to mid 11's if I maintain a 1.8-1.9 60ft.
Got alot of traction problems in etown(didnt hook till 3rd on DR's)
all in all it's a pretty good day for only 2 shake down passes at low boost

ya man your car is sounding awesome and running some great times, it definitely has the power to get you into the 11's...btw I tried talkign to someone at v8less about your car but no one had any idea what was up with it...what turbo are you using?, stock bottom? how is the streetability of the car? awesome ride man:thumbsup:

that supra makes me tremble... it can do 11's now prolly... but just the darn traction... stock bottom HUGE turbo... scrary...

sounds like a sucky event though.. i heard people saying that honda was supposed to be in the 12's? is it the one from calgary?

I'm going to crank up the boost a bit more for a few runs next time I'm out in the 944... Problem is my stock bottom end only displaces 2.5L. I'm hoping to break into the 12's next time I'm out, and improve on my "laggy launch" 2.4s 60 ft time by doing a few exhaust mods.

hopefully i can get me BBGT turbo in and see what 20 psi can do... if i hit 12's i'm retiring... or else tranny is gone... until i can do a build up... hehe

I know for a fact that suspension isn't the issue right now... it's the low end torque that I'm lacking. One issue at a time...

that red civic hatch had ONLY nitrous.... two big bottles of it. the intercooler is just there for show. some e-town guys telling me this.
