Hey people i might be getting a laptop through work from dell and was since its a intel duocore it should in theory be able to handle the new mac operating system anyone know if this would work. I'm going to search online and maybe will get a link on here if i find any useful information. Thanks to anyone who bothers to help.

Its possible but have to do some research. Biggest problem is finding drivers for your hardware. Too many variations for PCs and noone makes drivers for anything. Only enthusiasts make drivers and some select companies. Thats ur biggest concern

yeah it possible. i read somewhere that only certain drivers work properly when doing it. best to do some research and see if ur components match up

Found some stuff at

and
http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/Main_Page
And by the looks of things it won't work on my dell inspiron 6400, well it will install but with limited usage as the audio won't work and video is very limited.
Looks like its possible... but doesnt work very well.
Better off buying a Mac and using bootcamp.
