I am looking for a really comfortable computer chair, something with adjustable arm rests, tilt control(back and seat) and good back/lumbar support. I may just end up at staples and getting a resonably high end chair, but perhaps somebody has a really good one for sale or knows where you can get some good used office furniture.

I have both of these; one in leather and one in a knit fabric.
The midback ultimate chair is in Gunmetal Premium leather - $1200
The Management chair is in a Black knit fabric - $500

Wicked chairs, you can't get anything more comfortable.

I'll part with either as I'm losing my home office for a baby's room later this year and I've got a high back ultimate at my office.

Cheers

By the way... Even the 'best' chair at staples is junk.

look into a Herman Miller or a Humanscale chair for extreme comfort, full warranty, full lumbar support, tilt... etc.

Herman miller and human scale both offer quite a bit of mesh and thin foam seats. Mesh is not a good ergonomic product, and their seats are not contoured for the most part. But the chairs themselves are of quite a good quality.

mesh is highly breathable, form fitting and your back will conforms naturally and allow air to circulate.

HM offers chairs with full mesh.. and if you've never sat in one... try it out. =) I have a HM chair is it's more comfortable (to me) than any other chair. fully adjustable chairs too.

those relax the back chairs just look really cheap (like staples quality)

The only problem I have with mesh, and I bought an aeron in 1997, is that it doesn't allow you to tailor the chair to your body, or the position that your body should be in.

Regardless of our personal tastes and preferences.... TRY out the chair before you buy it... if it feels comfortable... then :D

best of luck with finding a chair. (we didn't mean to hijack it)
