Did you guys see that video on that thread of the STi vs. SRT-4?

SRT-4 got destroyed :(
STi is the new sport compact king!

The only thing the SRT-4 has going for it compared to an STi is the fact that its gonna be half the price. The STi will be like the Audi S4, it will clobber anything in its size bracket, but only a few can afford one.

And as for that video: You haven't launched till you've launched an all wheel drive car HARD :D

And incidentally, US pricing has been announced for the STi: $30995 USD MSRP + 550 Destination charges, etc. No word on canadian prices yet (that I've seen).

Only $30k USD? That's cheap! I doubt you'll be able to get one for that in it's first sales year, but I'm sure the price will come down as time progresses. Damn dealer mark-up. I think I'll be seeing quite a few STi's around. I've seen two Evo VIII's on the street, and SRT-4's are popping up all around, too.

That is Subaru's MSRP. I have little doubt greedy dealers will be selling them for more, and impatient rich people will be paying it. The markup on that car is only about $2k US, dealer invoice cost is $28.5k.

True. But we don't have the Evo to compete against to force our price lower either :banghead:
