[I highly recommend watching the original Flash version at my site (http://www.zerom3.com), as it has the highest quality.]

If you remember my thread about a web commercial (http://forums.beyond.ca/showthread.php?s=&threadid=131760) using stop/slow-motion photography, you'd probably be interested to know that I've finished the first half of my feature short-film, Warriors of Aidoios.

It's all animated in Flash and taken with BeserkerCatSplat's Nikon D50. We went all the way to Kananaskis back in the middle of June to do this. We had 10 hours to shoot everything.

Various video formats (XviD, WMV, MOV, iPod) are also available for download at my site.

I will be providing some behind-the-scenes footage later on, as well as publishing the second half of the film.

Hope you all like it! ;)

That music on your site is great! Also I like your site design.
After watching the film things I like the most were:
- the sounds (both the music again, and the swords, steps, etc)
- flashes of different perspective. When the first female fighter was coming towards the male the quick close shot of her face was effective.

Nice work on the project and I look forward to the next release.

Thanks, Graham! Xaro did all the editing work, which really was the bulk of the project. Taking all 4500-odd frames was a lot of fun, and my D50 did it all on a single battery!

Thanks for the comments! ^_^

Oh, and about the site design: You can see more of the header image if your screen resolution is higher (up to 1280x1024).

I really liked it. What popped out for me the most was when you see the grass shifting in the wind...that was really awesome.

Can't wait to see your future work:thumbsup:

Part II is up!

As stated in the first post, I would highly recommend you to watch the original Flash version at my site (http://www.zerom3.com) to experience the film at full quality. The YouTube videos are more for previewing than anything.

Oh, so that's the real reason for your interest on my webcam. :P

She's actually a friend of mine back in first-year university. We managed to keep in touch after I left, and we discussed the possibility of doing some filmmaking, which resulted to this. :)

The actress is. I've only been in Calgary for four years, so does that count as local? >_>

(I apologize for not seeing the last reply until nearly five months later.)
