CITYBEAT - CITY OF CALGARY PRESS RELEASE

On the evening of August 23 at approximately 22:30 hours
Calgary Paramedics, The Calgary Fire Department, and The
Calgary Police
Service responded to the intersection of Anderson Road and
Elbow Drive for reports of a two vehicle
Collision.
When Paramedics arrived, they quickly assessed and provided
care to six people who had been involved in the accident. The
two occupants of one vehicle had minor soft tissue injuries
and were not transported to a hospital. However the four
occupants of the second vehicle all required treatment and
transport by Calgary Paramedics to hospital.
Patient #1: 30 year old male driver received chest injuries
and was
transported to the Foothills Hospital in stable, non-life
threatening condition.
Patient #2: 48 year old female passenger received pelvic and
leg injuries and was transported to the Foothills Hospital in
serious, unstable condition after having to be extricated
from the vehicle by The Calgary Fire Department.
Patient #3: 54 year old female passenger received minor soft
tissue injuries and was transported to the Rockyview Hospital
in stable condition.
Patient #4: 62 year old female passenger received minor soft
tissue injuries and was transported to the Rockyview Hospital
in stable condition.
All occupants were wearing their seat belts at the time of
the accident.
The Calgary Police Service is investigating the details of
this incident
