Yeah it was just too damn hard to find a 5spd, and I bought it with the intent of letting the wife drive it as well.

You CAN do a 5spd swap. The only thing you would need to get in Japan is the IJZ bellhousing, AFAIK.

Also if someone has a reliable 1990+ car worth $1500-2500 I can knock that off the price as a partial trade.

nice car, its hard to believe it was only 1991 when they started making that car, they borrowed alot of elements from that to design the mark 4 supra.

in regards to the 5 speed, with these cars with there 1jz autos, you really dont want a 5 speed, the auto trannys are very strong for a stock automatic and with just bolt ons these cars run impressive times at the track. many TT soarers were 1jz auto and lexus sc300s (same car, just available in north america) that got swapped to a 1jz were 1jz autos.

if you want to swap in a 5 speed for whatever reason, the bellhousing isnt a problem to find, you can get it from toyota actually, its just the w58/r154 manual bellhousing for the JZ series of engines, goes for about 300-500 USD. the harder part is going to be finding the clutch cylinders and pedal swap, but any wrecked manual lexus sc300 would have it, or pay rape prices at toyota. if that doesnt work, youd probably have to get it from japan.

but honestly, id test drive this car before you set your heart on a manual, 1jz autos are known to make driving A/T fun again.

I totally agree. It's the most fun auto I have ever driven.
