I have a friend that failed the learner tests a few times. So, he wonders if it's possible to aquire those test questions somehow?
Please share your thoughts.

No kidding, or maybe your "friend" should just skim it at least.

It is not rocket science.

What I find the most disturbing concept is... what if he PASSES?!

j/k... these guys are right, its not a difficult test.. its all common sense, and if he reads the book, he'll get it no problems... even if he can't after reading the book, then tell him to STUDY, just like for Math or Socials or whatever...

holy fuck... just what we need... another hooked-on-phonics driver on the road.

Tell your friend to take a course.

Actually, I should be happy that they actually managed to fail someone here. And that said, with the people on the streets in calgary who actually HAVE a licence, exactly how stupid do you have to be 'not' to get one?

Sorry, to sound harsh, but man, c'mon.....

I can't believe your friend could fail a test so easy. In bc it's double the questions. Seriously a friend of mine skimmed through the book and passed. What's your friend doing?

I always wonder about the origins of the fucked up canadian mentality.

It's not a difficult or long test. Like has already been said the test is common sense, multiple choice and 20 questions and you can get up to 3 wrong should be easy enough. How can you fail it multiple times especially because they repeat questions and there are only so many versions of the test?

common sense > you (*I mean your friend)

Jesus, anyone that fails a "few times" probably
shouldn't drive.

Lemme guess, on the signs portion, they picked
the stop sign was to go?

Tell your friend to do all of us who drive a favor and
get a bike.

There's 50 questions now?!

First of all, when you take the learners test ALWAYS ask to do the paper one. If you make a mistake you can go back. Also you get to do ALL the questions and find out what you did wrong, and then you know for next time. There is an example drivers test on the website.

and send him this:

2 practice tests here:

Your "friend" does realize that all the questions on the test are the same ones that are in the book right? I mean fuck, the only other test that's easier is a blood test. The similarities being you have to be alive to take it.

If your friend is having this many problems with just the written test, I wonder how he will do when he is given control of a car and put in traffic.

Only excuse to fail is a language barrier. Even then, I remember taking the test the same time as a bunch of Asian fobs who all spoke broken english, all needed to bust out dictionaries, but all passed.

If your friend is too lazy to even read the book, he doesnt deserve to be on the road.

:werd: to what everyone said and just read the book. I hope to god your friend doesn't try to cheat their way through the test. If so, please state where your friend works, goes to school, hangs out, lives, etc........so I can stay away from those areas.

calgary is 20 questions and u can only get 3 wrong
some questions're stupid though
i got 16/20 without reading the book
and the only ones i got wrong were all useless questions on terminology and demerits

Gurpy

Werd, some of the questions are just retarded. Why do we need to know the maximum blood alcohol limit for non gdl drivers? I love how they have demerit questions on there...isn't the point to NOT get demerits, not study how many you get so you know how much to speed. That being said, I didn't find the test hard, just some of the questions ticked me off. How much extra gas are you using for every extra 10km/h over 100?

i remember i go 20/20 just with a quick skim :dunno:

...maybe it's just me but total common sense except for like 2 or 3 Q's? :nut:

Some of those questions are just stupid.....

when really they should be asking things like this:

Which one do you stop at and which one do you not?

1. http://www.raptureready.com/featured/reagan/stop-sign.gif

2. http://www.dot.state.ia.us/mutcd_files/image011.jpg

From what I've seen, 80% of calgary would fail that one question. :D

all the questions that i got wrong were bullshit
one of the questions:

What is the manual's definition of a parking lane?

a) a lane where you are permitted to park
b) a lane on the edge of a primary highway
c) a lane directly beside a row of parking meters
d) both a and c

i answered d, but it was b

Yeah that's deffinitly not a great question, I don't think I remember ever reading anything about that, but it has been a while since I read the manual.
