are they reliable cars to own? What are some advantages and disadvantages to the car?

i test drove a del sol a while back... nice interior. has sort of a cockpit feel to it. trunk actually has quite a bit of room as well. The roof did squeak a bit on the one i drove so maybe make a mental note of that. Seats are comfy and the engine bay has a ton of room in it (SOHC). IMO i would definitely have bought the dohc version but could not find one with low enough kms.

yup. i always felt the styling of the car was too much of a mid-engine look. Like the Del Sol was just a giant styling ripoff of the MR2 without the actual things that made the MR2 good. But thats my thoughts.

del sol's are just more curvy, thats why guys call them girl cars but there alright if you get one with a b16a, because if not prepare to get beat by every car on the road (even neons) he he, and crx's arn't as slow as del sol's not mine anyways i keep beating my friends del sol and he has a b16a under the hood :clap: :clap:

del sols with the b16a engines are not slow at all. i love my car and it doesnt look girly. im glad they replaced the crx with the del sol. taking the top off in this weather is just great.
im kinda sick of ppl saying del sols are slow basing it on the sohc engines. the dohc engines are quite fast.

I test drove a DOHC del sol and i liked it a lot.

I would have gotten it but it needed a bit of bodywork and I didn't feel like getting it done. Didn't find many DOHC del sol's. I actually went to see 3 of them, and two of them were actually SOHC's.

liek i said before del sols are the shiet. i have no problems with it and i love it like i stated before. the only disadvantage taht other ppl say is that it is too small (only a 2 seater). imo it is better cuz im still in highschool and with a 2 seater no one can ask me for a ride and if they do and i say no, then it doesnt seem like im an asshole or anything.

del sols are definitely one of the poorest performance chassis' ever made by honda. a del sol is basically an eg hatch thats been hacked into a convertible-wannabe. the obvious shortcoming of this is a very weak chassis. honda has none nothing to strengthen the chassis either, which makes the problem even worse.

ive heard of people that manage to crack the rear window while cornering hard on the track.

other that the weak chassis, the car has many features that make it a great car, like any honda. but when u start with a bad chassis, its hard to make the car perform well.

yeah i still have my stock taillights but they are painted red. thats what i have on rite now. i dont think altezzas look nice on a car without a bodykit or anything.
