i would love to make that last one black and white, i have photoshop 9 cs2 but have no idea what im doing with it, and pointers as to how i can do it? prolly really simple when i get on to it.

simple black and white.

Image > Adjustments > Desaturate.

What ISO are you using on your photos? Keep it as low as possible at all times.

And dont photograph flowers, they're hugely overdone, they're not good to critique.

Great choice of camera, I have first hand experience with them, and they're very good for getting creative. Enjoy your new toy and welcome to the world of d.Photography.

I messed around with contrast and exposure values to give it a more dramatic effect.

If they still offer it, I'd check out the U of C's Intoduction to Digital Photography course. I took it about 5 yrs ago and learned a lot.

i actrually was just using the auto feature on that shot, ive only just startd to play with the other settings, such as iso, so i should keep it low for all shots? or does that change when im out in bright lights?

here is a couple that i took a few minutes ago, i lowered the iso to the lowed (80) and set the aperature to f8 in the bottom one i changed the aperature setting and got a little different outcome.
