Got a paint quote

Just went ot K and J autobody in the NE to see Clarence. Has anybody had paint done by him here?? But anyways, quote was 2500 for prep and paint and door jams too, or 1500 for paint if I prep it myself. Is this a good deal?? I dunno??:dunno: Can anyone else give me a name and number to call for a good paint job?? I would greatly appreciate it!!!:thumbsup:

That's a cheap price. You won't know if its a good deal or not until after you get it painted.

See, it was either try and buy a newer car or use the money I have to do up my car now. I decided to do up the car I have now becuz there aren't too many like mine or that look like mine at least:D !! Just aiming to be different.

i went to maaco to paint my car, its a pos place but they did an amazing job on it for how much i had to pay. i got it for 400 bux well worth it

Yea, I went to Macco too......they quoted me 1500. I would have gone to get paint from them but I wasn't sure bout the quality?!!

iheard macco was ass... i could be wrong but ill never forget this picture of a 91 civic a saw on a forum in that states where a guy did all his own body work... took the car to macco and got them to spray it... looked damn good with no imprefections... i bet it all depends on which one you go to... ive heard of them respraying cars without sanding the old paint off :dunno:

Maaco is shit, my friend had a landscaping truck painted there and the paint came off after 2 washes, and they didnt use primer, they used glue, National Collision is very good

Maaco can do good splash jobs, they just don't care enough to actually redo any body work or fill in any chips or rust repair. They would much rather spray over the rust and dents and give the car to you.

If you do your own body work, and have them paint it, they will do a decent job. If your car doesn't need any body work, they will do a decent job.
