at the mr2 meet yesterday was going across macloed to get to chinook... and speeding by goes a police charger 2007-2008 model....=O anybody else see this?!

Saw one in Arizona a few weeks ago.... it was gunmetal and the police decals were all in Black Vinyl. Talk about hard to spot.

In a few years though, it'll have about the same visual interest as a Caprice Classic.... and every time you see one, cop or not, you'll be tapping the brakes. I can't wait. Hopefully though less old men will buy these. :)

they're insanely quick, ive seen a few of them cruising down macload and they definetly arent doing near the limit, they look quite impressive....

Not the Calgary version ;) Just the V6. The fleet manager didnt want the hemi because he figured it would be "overdriven". He's right.

Most officers also dont like the glass cage in the back. If you get a chance to look closely at one you'll see that anyone in the back can reach around the b-pillar and get to the officers in front. Theres just flimsy plastic (thinner than a coke bottle) seperating the compartments.

I do like the stylized 5 spoke black steelies instead of the round ugly crown vic wheels tho.

We have a shitload of them in Calgary, if you drive by the training facility by Deerfoot mall you will see an ass load. Last time I went by I counted over 80 of them.

bout time they get rid of the crown vics. Ford had the same bodystyle since 1999 or so. Good to see Dodge step up to the plate with a new pursuit cruiser. Now we have to get used to the charger's headlights in our rearviews at night :thumbsup:

A few of our dealers in town have brought some in and some even have a few in stock. They come in black or a white similar to championship white. The have an upgraded brake and handling package as well as better tires. The 5 spoke black wheels look pretty mean as well.

The car with the normal hemi pulls almost like an srt version, Im guessing they changed some of the fuel maps and its lighter. Pretty cheap too, a hemi model is 32K MSRP.

Saw a motorcyle in van get pulled over by a tinted out black unmarked one with crazy small but bright blue and red leds on it. Looked like something out of the movie Judge Dred. Guess no more outrunning. :(

Saw the Charger on TV yesterday ... Global News when they were reporting on one of the many murders (I think it may have been the elderly lady in the NW). Anyways, when the cop was talking, his Charger was in the background

errrrrrrrr, the ones that you say you saw by the training facility, is where the keep most of the ghost cars as well. Thats at support. right by the airport. has them. The CPS is still testing these out, to see if they're going completely overhaul the whole fleet. Right now, if i remeber correctly traffic division has first dibs on them right now, lucky fockers. Meh, they should drive what the Italians drive, a Gallardo

They are not that quick. They only have the hight output 3.5 V6 makes 250 horse in a car that weighs over 4000lbs when loaded for police duty.:eek: Outrunning the car isnt the problem, try outrunning the radio. Talking to the cops driving them they think they arent quick. They wish they had the hemi

i took a ride in a m3 police car when i was in germany a few years ago, and they have a button on the dash that drops the centre arm rest and a mp5 slides out, james bond style, it was sooo sick. Plus that was my first legal beer, in a police station no less, i like germany!:hitit:
