CLOSE PLEASE - CAR PURCHASED!

Hi,

I'm in the market for a car, with the following as preferences

Nissan 350z
Infinity G35
Lexus IS 300
Acura CL Type S
Acura RSX Type S
Subaru WRX
Mitsubishi Eclipse (2006 and up)
BMW 325
Benz C230 Kompressor

I am unfortunately not interested in an AT, so MT's only please. Also, earliest year i'd look at is a 2002.
The upper limit of my Budget is about 30K. I'm willing to spend some coin if the car is worth it. Basically looking to get good value for my money.

Sorry...not looking for an overpriced 'lude!
Please pm/leave a post

Thanks
PJS

You should take the G35 and 350z off your list, you will be very hard pressed to find one below $30 000 unless your importing.

2 cars that are definetly in your price range are the RSX S and the Is300

I should clarify....for the G35 i'd be willing to pay a bit more (but coupe preffered).

As for the 350z - there are currently 4 within 2K of 30,000. on the autotrader right now.

I'm willing to pay money for a car that's a good value. Like i said before, not willing to pay for something overpriced, even if it's in my range.

Don't worry about the student part.....just graduated and finally have an income...

thanks for the expert opinion though...

Well,

Buying a used car, can not just base on the budget ..

Yes .. you may .. may find a 350Z with high km, just fair shape for a little bit over $30K ..

However, those are the cars probably need tires/brake/tune up .. or some some work ... and for a set of good 18" tires.. brake etc .. could be $3k or more .. so you should put that into consideration. Just like I know someone bought a used 850 from Japan .. for like $12K .. but it needs $15K to fix up... (well, that is extrem .. )

Any used car .. expect to spend some money on it ..

If you have .. say $30K budget, better buy a $25-27K used car max, It is just my experience.

Or buy a new civic or whatever for $27K.

:)

Point well taken on the used cars and price.

I'm not a newbie when it comes to buying used cars (all i've ever bought!) so you're points make sense.

My only point is that if your car is worth it (i.e. a 350z or g35 in good shape) i'm willing to pay for it as long as it's not over priced....

the 350z's in the auto trader all come with around 40-60K km's which really isn't a lot...

You mean a 2003?

Acura only made 2700 3.2CL Type-S with a 6spd manual transmission & limited slip diferrential as a 2003 model.

It was my previous car before the Vette and a fantastic one at that. I should have kept it in hindsight.
