Question about fax machines?

Sorry I'm a noob to these things, If i buy a fax machine or all-in-one, Do I just plug it in the wall and send faxes? or do I have to purschase a fax line from my phone provider? Im with Shaw!

Unless you want a dedicated fax line (a separate fax number), you can simply plug in your fax to your phone jack and use it.

If you do the occasional outgoing fax, your standard line is good enough. But make sure to see the fax for manual pickup. Otherwise, it'll be answering all your calls for you automatically.

If you are expecting someone to fax you all the time, get another phone line. It's around $25/month.
