My gf just got a new job as a nanny, so make the question short and sweet, her employer has left it up to her(my gf) for remitting all her personal income, where does she go to do that and how does she do that?

Pay them at the regular tax time on a standard T1 in the self employment section (sole proprietor; lines 135-143). The government will tell you further down the line if you need to start making quarterly instalments or start collecting GST (start collecting the first year you make over $30,000).

Just make sure she keeps a portion of her cheque on the side for tax time. Lots of people get paid like this and dont have the money when tax time comes around.

An accountant can tell her how much she needs to save.

Actually, the rule is to start collecting the 1st day of the 2nd month following the quarter where year-to-date revenues exceed $30,000.

That will let you figure out about how much taxes she needs to save for.

she needs to pay tax at year end, self-calculated so keep some money aside for this payment.

Well by the looks of it she wont have to pay any taxes because she doesn't make enough, as far as what she's figured out when she does pay her taxes, she'll get everything back anyways.

Unless she make less than $7K for the year, she'll need to pay taxes. And make sure she file. Even if she doesn't have to pay. There are benefits like GST rebate checks.
