Heya folks, up for sale is my Audi S4. I moved out here from Ottawa, Ontario right at the beginning of January, my car joined me out here in Alberta in March (shipped via SeaRail). Car arrived perfectly.

Through March, April and May the car's hood and front fenders received quite a beating from the road grit, and at the beginning of July I had all those areas repainted, as well as the forward portion of the roof. The windscreen was removed and replaced to ensure a proper job was done on the roofline (and the windshield was pitted). Vehicle was rear-ended on MacLeod Trail by a cab driver. Damage was all cosmetic - just a scuffed up rear bumper. Bumper was sanded down, painted - and there are no visible signs of damage. Vehicle passed OOP from between when I was struck by the cab and the damaged bumper was fixed - they could locate no damage other than the cosmetic damage done to the bumper.

Tires are quite new, I'd estimate 1500km, they are Falken Ziex ZE-512's (225-45r17). They were put on when the vehicle passed OOP in June. These tires are louder than stock - tire noise travels through them due to a much stiffer sidewall.

The vehicle has a very light silver tint - does not impede light transmission, just provides a barely noticible reflection when in sunlight or overcast conditions - vehicle passed OOP with this tint (rear, rear 1/4, rear door and front door all tinted the same).

Going back to December when the vehicle was at 122,000km I had the timing belt+tensioners, waterpump, serpentine belts done by an independant garage (RJ Motors in Ottawa, On). The reason I went with RJ is that they had serviced the vehicle since new from the previous owner, and were friends with the previous owner of the vehicle.

More recently at 130,000km I had the oil changed with 10w30 Mobil 1 full synthetic and OEM (from Glenmore Audi -$75) Oil filter.

This car was and still is my dream car - I did extensive research before I bought her around this time last year. I did 3 minute warm-ups and 3 minute cool-downs whenever I drive. Didn't rev the engine higher than 2500rpm until coolant temp reached operating temperature, and even then due to the low-end torque I rarely found a need to rev her higher than 3,000rpm.

I live walking distance to work, and walk to work most days. I'd bring the car downtown and park maybe once a week tops - I'd say this car isn't my daily driver, but it's my only car and it was used for groceries and some running around - but it was mostly cruising around in 6th gear.

Always washed with McGuiars gold class car wash, then applied gold-class paste wax.

The two problems with the car are the curbed rims and a door 'ding' - both of which are visable in the detailed pictures below. The door ding happened 2 days after I got my car back from Screamin' Paintworks and I've not had heart to take it back in for more paintwork again so quickly.

Vehicle is chipped with 91 and 93 octane tunes from APR. Tune is selectable through cruise control functions. Fuel milage is the same - if not slightly better and she pulls like hell through all gears. I've ran her at Race City twice - a total of 5-7 1/4 mile runs. Best 60' is 1.9 best 1/4 is 3.8 @ 101mph. I've been told a 13.5-13.6 is possible if I launch higher ( I was launching at ~ 2750 - 3000 rpm). Car was chipped less than 1000km ago, within the past 2 months. Was done locally at Concept1.

I just did a trip to Kelowna and got 8.5L/100km (33 mpg).
That was with the occasional down-shift/WOT to make it past 2-6 cars at a time. The car's calculation was confirmed with trip odo and gas-up calculations. That was travelling at 120-130 w/ AC 'on' through a lot of elevation changes.

It all depends on how you drive the car - a responsible driver will be able to get 30+ mpg. If you gun it at every light it will drink gas faster than you can pump it in. Those who complain about gas milage are the ones gunning it at every light.

Yeah , mine was all highway. I don't do too much city driving with it. I'll reset the comp and calculate over the next week - I'm interested to know.

how much are you getting on a city tank?

bituerbo

Well I've only put on about 15-20km MAX and it's saying 20L/100km, however more than half of that time has been spent idling - which causes the milage to drop by about 0.1L/100km every 2 seconds - judging by real-time monitoring.

From my previous experiences I usually get around 400km/tank city driving (60L tank).
