I'm in the market for a car in the 15k-20k range.

Criteria:
- Must be able to winter drive (have truck for bad days though)
- Smaller, Sporty
- Holds value relatively well

So far my ideas are...

- Integra GSR
- 5th gen lude
- MKIV Golf 1.8t

Any other recommendations?

My dad has a 330ci, so not really looking at BMWs (not that I don't like them).

An e30 M3 would be nice to do up though.

Earlier RSX Type-S is also starting to fall in that price bracket.

RSX-S would be a great car that fits your criteria.

I'd buy a 1.8T Golf and chip it for a bit more power. Additionally, you can never go wrong with a honda product, but if having no torque bothers you, that should be considered. Their power peaks are at like 6000rpm+. Some people like that, others don't. I personally don't like to have to bag my car to go fast.

 for the RSX Type S. You could probably pick up a 02 for about 20 or so

99-2000 Impreza 2.5rs :D:D

If you looked hard enough and didn't mind going to the states you could find one with an STi swap for that price.

Hey dude i highy susjest a 1.8T mk4 gti. I bought one a while ago and i love it. I use to be all into the hondas and stuff. But once u go german you wont go back! the quality is so good, everything id very well made. The paint is better quality then most cars i have seen, the power out of the 1.8t is awesome, and plus there is an endless amount of mods if your into that.

It also has traction controll which makes it very easy to drive in the winter. I have low pro allseason tires, and with the traction controll it makes it great to drive! The handeling is great, just an all round solid car. and it will hold its value better than a honda. Go test one and you will discover what i am talking about right away.

The quality is not good. Go read up on the 1.8t. If you don't like the shop, don't get one. My friends Jetta was in the shop 12 times in its first 8 months. Fun car, loads of potential, but loads of problems.

I say go with an impreza!

5th Gen Prelude is a nice car. I'd vote that if you want to stay on the lower end of your budget. And the RSX-S for the upper end of your budget.

I'll sell you my RSX-S if you are interested.

2003 Premium White Pearl
80,000kms
Eibach Pro Kit
Full OEM Kit
Custom Rear Trunk Lip Spoiler

Just got the entire front end repainted too and recently detailed. Looks and drives just like new, just ask Richardchan2002 who took her for a rip recently. He can attest.

Reason for selling. Two drivers in my house, four cars. Not a good ratio.

Ok good luck haha
