WTB: Laptop (14 inch, 1.5Ghz, DVDRW)

Hello,

I'm looking for a cheap laptop to replace my aging P3.

Here is what I'm looking for:

14" or larger screen, widescreen does not matter
1.5 Ghz Centrino or better
40 gig HDD
DVD reader, CD burner
WiFi would be nice
Working battery, no 25min battery life.

I'm not too picky about brands, budget is around 400-600.

That is my dilemma.

There are 3 Laptops between 500 and 600 but I'm waiting out the sale rotation while hoping someone had an older one that maybe I could save a few dollars on.

How would this compare to the 599 Acer at Futureshop? I would prefer to shop local if possible.
