well i sold the sr20det powerd 240 and now its on to something else, im looking to get a newer car and i want a car that is great to drive and fairly fast, also i am looking to spend up to about 17,000, thats probably about how hight i can go, so far i was thinking 98-99 vw gti vr6, 2000-03 vw gti 1.8T, type r integra, mazda speed protege, subaru wrx, bmw 325/328

anyone know of any of these for sale or have other suggestions?

You won't find a WRX for $17,000.

I would buy the Gti 1.8T and then chip it. The VR6 is an outstanding motor, but you may not want a car as old as 1999/2000. An integra type R has very little torque and makes all its power at like 7000rpm, so if thats not your driving style, you may not want one of those. If you could swing a BMW 328 it would be by far the best car in your choices, but if something goes wrong with it, depending on what it is, it may be more costly than the other cars to fix.

Get a 99/2000 Impreza 2.5rs with an STi swap.

If you dont mind waiting and doing some good searching through the states you could find one for that price range.
