Looking for a hard drive for my notebook thats rated at 7200rpm. Size isn't really a big deal here. If you even know of someplace that has one decently priced in the city please let me know. Thanks.

7200 rpm drives JUST came out didn't they? I think they'll be overpriced everywhere for a little while...

fatguylittlecar: yours are probably 4200rpm drives if they're from an old laptop.

Really? Then maybe it's just that Memory Express just started carrying them... All that I've seen for the longest time has been 4200 and 5400 RPM laptop drives...

I got mine from TigerDirect. It's a 100GB 7200 @ $350, including shipping :thumbsdow , my wallet was crying.

IBM/Hitachi used to have the only 7200rpm drive...now, Seagate has them as well. You can ask most local computer shows to order one in for you, you can definately one for less then $250 now (depending on capacity of course).

I take it you looked at Memory Express.... $199 for a 100GB 7200rpm drive. $140 for a 60GB. By the sounds of it that's a very good price.
