Insured before it can be registered.

i think that the pink insurance card is proof enough for them to register it.

you need insurance on the vehicle in order to register it.

faxed proof from your insurance company, the pink card, whatever, but you need proof of insurance

as long as it's some kind of insurance, whether it be comprehensive or full... and as long as you have a pink slip.

Great, thanks!

I have a pink slip around somewhere, but I'm pretty sure it's expired or something.

I'll give the insurance company a call in the morning, cya on the roads!

It must be valid before or they won't register it.

Keep in mind that the registry will accept a faxed copy of the pink card, provided that it's valid.

Also keep in mind that the registry will only issue registration to the INSURED driver on the pink slip. Most slips have the primary driver, but not the occaisonal. So if your dad is the primary driver, and has you as occaisonal, he'd have to do it.
