Could this possibly be the free battery exchange program of theirs? My buddy got a brand new battery in the mail 2 days ago. Told me he didn't have to pay for it nor shipping.

Actually, my buddy still has his "defected" battery. He says it works fine and never had a problem so he'll keep it around.

From what he told me they give you a new battery, you put your old one into the box the new one came from and ship it back to them.

Oh well, I'll see if my sister is still interested.

well....good luck to your friend....cause my friend burned his powerbook because of the problem battery....and Apple is not going to cover that !!!
