The 2006 Range rover
http://www.landrover.com/ca/en/Vehicles/Range_Rover/Overview.htm
Or the 2007 Cadillac in dimond white
http://www.cadillac.com/cadillacjsp/model/gallery.jsp?model=ext&year=2007

This is not for me, but a family member friend, having a tough time picking what he wants to buy..

IMO I would rather the Cadillac..

I voted Escalde prematurely.

I would get the Range Rover. As much as I love the new cadillac..if I bought the EXT version I couldn't help but think constantly that I just paid for a Chevy avalanche with some big wheels and a gangster indorsment...

Escalade = :bigpimp:

I was looking into them before. That's the only SUV I'd consider owning.

Price value is not much of an issue to the guy, i'm sure he could pick up a ferrari if he liked...

Its going more for just a car, since he has worked so hard in the past few years, and his driving a pos ford 350 right now...

I was offered a 1996 Land Rover a year ago. Mint except the windshield (heated) and transmission was shot for $4000. A trans rebuild would of came over the purchace price for sure
BTW my uncle bought a new 1972 fleetwood from GSL in 1972. He still sports that shit. (still mint)
albeit that 06 Range rover is fuckin hype

The range is a nicer truck in almost everyway IMO but has ridiculous reliability issues, the caddy on the other hand is very nice IMO and is a very reliable SUV. I'd pocket the cash and go with the caddy for piece of mind.

that's the RR's biggest problem. if he's going for a lease with a full warranty, then by all means, go for the RR.

Both trucks are played out and gaudy.

As much as people love to make fun of American reliability, the GM truck will run 10x as long as that Range Rover.

So basically, the question is, how can I look like 50 Cent's wife for around $100k?

I guess there probably isn't enough chrome and bling on this thing in stock form.

i honestly dont know why the range rover is so popular. i think it looks like shit (although it does look better than the normal land rover)

If he cares about how it's put together, he should get the Range Rover. The caddy is just a dressed up GM SUV with all the same super cheap interior parts, etc. etc. but with a price tag of $100,000. If you've ever been in one you know what I mean. I would bet the Range Rover costs twice as much to make as the caddy and they are roughly the same price. Also, with the range rover you get amazing offroad capabilities. Just my 0.02.

EDIT: Just learned he already bought the RR lol

Good choice, I would have went with Range Rover Sport S/C too... I like the looks of the new Escalade, but I would never buy one. RR all the way :bigpimp:

Range Rover has TERRIBLE reliability and when something breaks be prepared to pay big for it.

Also their depreciation is as bad if not worse than domestic vehicles. A friend of mine is the yard manager at Mitchner-Allen Auctions and he told me they have HUGE problems trying to get rid of Range/Land Rovers.

Range Rover is also known for leaking everywhere
Cadilac is just cheap from inside (look up the top gear episode on the escalade...soo funny) :D

Out of those two, i'd take the RR, but what about G-class, what kind of coin are those worth?

RX_EVOLV

G-class is > 100k.. i thought they discontinued it though...

but Range Rover HANDS DOWN..
