View Full Version : Anyone seen this GTi?

I was driving today and i saw this nice new Golf GTi and the guy floored it and u could hear the turbo whistle and then wind down. Sounded like a nice friggin car. It might have had like 17 or 18 inch rims. lol and the driver has a really big cranium, my sister knew him and they called him the raptor that never died cause he looks like one. Ha

On a lot of those 1.8t's you can hear the turbo spool if the driver floors it.
being a little more specific would help :)

yeah, the turbos on the new 1.8T's are quite loud. My mom had a TDi and its loud, sounds great :D

If its a silver one I've seen it before. Saw it at Mount Royal a couple times if it's the one I'm thinking about

How bout' some more information?!! Where were you? Color of this GTI. Was it lowered -- stock or aftermarket wheels. Volkswagen sells alot of cars with 17 inch and 18 inch wheels.

Insulting the drivers appearance isn't giving you "A" points either.

I was beside a silver one on Crowchild a little while ago. It kept giving me a BOV salute.

Gave him one back....and left him behind. :D

my GP's passat 1.8t has almost no turbo noise at all, not that I could hear anyways.

ya i bought his 94 GTi... hes a good guy... that mkiv ur talking about is a 337 edition with 18 bbs rc... hes done some engine mods and the cars come kinda done up from VW so yeah... that car is damn fast... he sold his corrado and now just has the silver GTi that you saw and a 90 GTi 16v

Was probably the same one cause the one I saw at MRC pulled a u turn outside the new EA building or whatever and I heard a BOV too.

Was pretty sweet...and if ti's teh same one I'm talking about it those rims definetly didn't come from a VW dealership

fastest dub you've been around? you havent been around many dubs then. his engine is stock, only thing done is a bigger intercooler tube...
