Anyone know who drives a balck Audi A4?probably a 1.8T?? I think its lowered with stock rims....tinted windows....."TunerWorks" sticker on side window. I had a run with him couple days ago at a stop light.. we were dead even to abit over 100km/h until I was forced to get behind him cuz my lane was ending.

just wondering if he got anything done under the hood..

good run:thumbsup:

I have seen it too, Flix Lex 18's, Kamei grill. From the looks of the exhaust, it looks stock, but he may have a chip, but I doubt it if he was even with you. ( No offence, but chipped 1.8T's are fairly quick) It is a 1.8T for sure though.
I'd like to know who he is, it would be good to get another modded Audi out to the meets:thumbsup:

Very quick. Or it might have been the six-cylinder -- not nearly as tuneable as the 1.8T.

Nope, 1.8T, it didn't have the chrome around the windows.

P.S A chipped 1.8T is about the same as the 2.8L V6 anyways...

I beg to differ my friend. I have owned both a 12V VR6 and (currently) a 20V 1.8T. Big difference in power -- my chipped 1.8T destroys my old 12V VR6 in my 2002 Jetta. On my test drive to determine if I wanted the new 24V VR6 or the 20V 1.8T -- during my VR6 test drive tagged along with me in his 1.8T Jetta -- we were nose to nose -- and he wasn't chipped -- needless to say -- I chose the 1.8T.

Any day, any time -- Race City Speedway -- let's have some fun.

In a B5 A4? Not really... Chipped A4 1.8T's are slow unless you've boosting over 1bar. I've driven a 1-bar APR chipped '01 B5 A4 with an APR exhaust (silver with S4 body kit) and even that wasn't overly thrilling. The B5 just has too much weight to it; The B6 is even worse. Chipped VW Golf/Jetta 1.8Ts are a different story though.

The 12V/24V VR6 is not the same engine as the Audi one. The early V6's were 12 V (untill 96 I believe) and then they switched to the 30V, which I have, stock 190.

I would like to go to Race City with ya, however the weight difference between a Jetta, and an A4 (with Quattro) is quite significant. I have seen times between a chipped 1.8T, and a 2.8, and it really comes down to the driver. The Jetta however would be a different story. Once I get my Summers on, I am all up for it. That will probably be in a month, since I have to order everything still.

To get the 1.8T VERY fast, you need the Stage 3 kit. The regularly run 13's if everyting is dialed in. The fastest A4 that I know of is actaully in Vancouver, and he runs a 12.49 I believe. The Quattro A4's are supposed to be able to handle more power than the Golfs and Jetta's due to Quattro, and the tranny.

I think Little is the key word. The A4 isn't exactly a lightweight.......
