Hey im looking to buy another E30 but there seems to be slim pickings right now so im hopeing for some help. Im basically open to anything if the price is right but i would prefer a 89-91. It must be a 5 spd and not a rust bucket. Im looking to spend around 5K but it really all depends on the car. Thanks.

heh good luck finding a rust free e30 nowadays around here.
Best place to go now is import from the states. I fluked when i got mine, picked up a stock mtech1 car hee hee.
lots of sites such as e30tech.com, r3vlimited.com, unitedbimmer.com, etc have a couple floating around,
but good luck with your search bud!

I would be looking in the Vancouver area for a realatively rust free E30. They are usually in way better condition than Alberta examples... and likely cheaper!

Im almost bought one from vancouver but it got snatched up before i could finalize things. Worked out ok though since i just bought an 89 325ix.

There is a 1990 plastic bumpered E30 325i located in Edmonton for $700 or so.

The catch is that it will need attention and work. It was involved in a "mild" front end collision and will defintely need to be looked at probalby by a frame shop. Passenger side fender needs to be replaced as well as front valence and front bumper. Also, the fan clutch is millimeters from the fan, so that would need to be fixed. I couldn't see if there was motor mount damage because it was in the dark.

Fixer-upper; didn't grab it because I thought the guy was sorta shady and don't have the time to fix it.

sounds strange, but look in the Okanagan. I moved from there and I have seen some good E30's there. also Vancouver Island.

I know of a 5spd '87 325i loaded (w/o leather) and virtually rust free. 2nd owner, a real gem and he's looking for 5k.
