Just in case you don't get the Japanese news.

Nissan's 100 millionth car feted in Yokohama
YOKOHAMA (Kyodo) Nissan Motor Co. held a ceremony at its Yokohama plant Wednesday to mark the assembly of its 100 millionth vehicle in June.

The Yokohama factory is the site of the company's former headquarters, where Nissan was founded in 1933. Famous Nissan cars built over the years were on display for the event.

Among them was the first car ever built by Nissan: a Datsun 12. Others included a 1965 Skyline GT and a Fairlady Z-T from 1977.

Nissan began life as Jidosha-Seizo Co. and adopted its current name the following year. It merged with Prince Motor Co. in 1966 and signed a global partnership agreement with France's Renault SA in 1999.

Nissan's cumulative output reached 50 million vehicles in 1988 and 90 million in 2003.
