1000 hp cars

After watching the video in http://forums.beyond.ca/showthread.php?s=&postid=1696698#post1696698 , i was wondering what other cars are 1000 hp + ?

are there any in the calgary area?

I think thats nuts, i couldnt IMAGINE feeling the pull in that car.

I heard of 1000 hp mustangs and supras and i couldnt even imagine that power. haha, so can we start a list? :D (and vids, pictures, and links too if you can !)

There are a few high horse muscle cars running aroudn this town. Not too sure about 1000hp imports but I know there is atleast 3 Muscle cars right around there, maybe more. No names or cars will be mentioned but Sat night boys know them.

I think the Autodream boys are running 600whp on their s14. That's the only one that I know of..

^600hp is alot less than what Nguen's RB is built for. In terms of street cars, I dont think you will find anthing in the 1000hp range, Davenport has done a few Supercharged and turboed ZO6 and there used to be an older sleeper Ligenfelter vette as well (but that has since been destroyed). And I know of a 700hp R32 GTR (also broken currently). Somone should forward that Gord GT-TT to Jeremy Clarkson of Top Gear, he may mention it on his show, or better yet order one!

I'd think after 500 it would just get SCARY for street driving. :nut: Can just imagine going to pass someone and misjudging just how fast you've accelerated.. then you nail someone's rear end in the other lane.

A long time ago when we were test driving the new (at the time) Acura TL, the salesman said he had a 1000+ HP 300zx. Also, my neighbor was detailing his friends hot rod which had 700WHP - you could chirp the tires by just taking your foot of the brake in the garage where the pavement was a little slippry it was ridiculous.

There is an old guy with a red MK1V supra with a carbon Fiber hood.

He has 2 sequntial hks T04z turbo's and a Stroker kit

His street legal car dyno'd at 1200 hp

Veilside had an R34 putting out over 1300HP. This fully worked R34 hit a top speed of 346.20km/h on the open road just out of Rotorua in Kiwiland. It hosts two giant HKS GT3240 turbochargers, providing enough charge to handle an awesome 2.7kg boost. This R34 also features an HKS Vein Pressure Controller and an HKS EVC

The chances of that car being put into production are about as great as an 18 wheeler-semi hybrid:rolleyes: I doubt it! I just bought a 383 for my Trans am, its a 460hp crate engine from Edlebrock, almost half way there!

about 3-4 more weeks and there will be another added to the list :P we go to pick it up from lingenfelter here soon.... thats all i will say :P
