towing capacity?

does anyone know the towing capacity of an '88 chevy 1/2 ton?
305 small block, 2wd.

It will depend on the hitch installed.

Do you have just the rear bumper or a frame mounted hitch?

I would think at least 3500lb possibly 5000lb.

Does the hitch not have the rating on it?
