Doesn't seem serious, if he got up immediatley after on his own and left without a sling. Bet the Russians are laughing though.

He had just finished making a dazzling pass to LeClair when the veteran winger, after missing a great scoring chance, crashed into the boards behind the net and took out Malkin in the process

I watched the game live and he definately did not get up on his own right after. He was laying on the ice for like 5 minutes before trainers helped him up, and he skated off the ice with his shoulder hanging. It looked pretty serious at the time, but from what I've read he came back to the arena in the third period without a sling on so hopefully he'll be ready to go by Oct 5.

Well, for all you Malkin fans....guess it actually was serious than most thought. Malkin is expected to miss up to 6 weeks.
