It's a Nine Inch Nails track, not sure what one though.

Edit: a little Googling came up with Nine Inch Nails - Just Like You Imagined, but I can't verify that yet.

However, I can verify that the producers have stated the music will be in the movie, as they apparently got Trent Reznor to do some of the score.

I ordered Frank Miller's 300 from chapters online a few weeks back and it's fantastic:thumbsup: I definitely will be seeing this movie when it comes out in theatres.

There is a book called "Gates of Fire" by Steven Pressfield.

He's an incredible writer, and Gates of Fire was his first work. It's definately a work of fiction, but heavily researched. He knows his ancient warfare. Written from the first person, following a soldier through his upbringing and training in the spartan way of life, and eventually ending up at Thermopolae. A+, anything by steven pressfield is pretty good, he goes into great detail about the ancient greeks and macedonians fought and lived.

Troy and Alexander were both brutal. Gladiator was the one that started the whole Roman Empire era of movies IMO, excellent movie, I got it on VHS and DVD.

Opinion on the number of opposing forces varies amongst historians. Some feel the number is as low as 60,000 and others feel it is as high as 1,700,000.

The actual battle in itself is very interested to read about.

The Spartans were so badass, I loved it!
Wicked action and all the CGI was well done. I didnt find it THAT gory, it was just the right amount. Afterall, "its just an eye".

we got lucky and were able to buy 14 tickets for a 10:21 show down at crowfoot AND save an entire row for our group haha.
It was all sold out at chinook (wanted the full IMAX experience lol) apparently it was sold out for yesterday and today as well.

Highly recommended movie! Just dont go in with an expectation of a deeper story and more developed characters like some of my friends did, you won't get any of the above

Yep this movie was fucking Wicked. Besides the obvious violence and inaccuracies and whatnot, the Spartan code was actually very accurate. Makes me pround to be of that bloodline.

HOLY FAWK, great effects, loved the filters and the red touches....SOLID acting for such blocking/action/choreograph heavy film.

I definitely didn't expect it to be so good...gonna see it again for sure.

That was my fave line too. I thought the movie was absolutely amazing, well worth waiting an hour in line for IMAX. The music went so well with all of the battle scenes. I haven't seen a movie that impressed me this much in a long time. :thumbsup:

LOL we went to the theatre (Burrard and Smithe in Van) at 9:50 to go get tickets for 300 at midnight but were prepared to see the 10:15 showing of Zodiac if 300 was sold out.

Tickets were available for 300, we bought them and walked half a block to earls had 3 beers and wings, went back at 11:30 WALKED in, no line and saw 300...I LOVE midnight showings lol

There won't be a sequal IMO because the focus of the movie was the select 300 warriors at that specific time in history, not Sparta itself. The hero of the movie is dead in the first, a sequal would be weak.

I guess I just hate it when the whole fucking movie is a story about something that happened a year ago....just a long story about the past....at the end of the movie there at the present and it ends.

Plus I wanna see that tall "god" get his ass kicked, and that hunchback freak tortured till death.

o well, still a good movie overall I guess.
