there are 2 of them out in bc that are here legally. They are here under the same circumstances that Tipoboy's car is here under.

I Understand that the asset purchased shall not be used or operated in Canada and must
be EXPORTED, subject to the regulations under Canada's Export Control List. I agree not
to export these assets without first consulting with the Export Controls Divsion of the
Department of Foreign Affairs Canada and International Trade Canada. I acknowledge that
it will be my responsibility to obtain any required export permit prior to the export of
the assets.

But I don't know what the hell you'd do with the car....

Wasn't there a company in the USA that imported R34s, and modified them to meet safety regulations (at an enormous cost)? People could legally take these cars up to canada (Eg: people on work, or student visas) for a period of 6 or 12 months?

Yeah, Motorex... there was a big drama though, and it would appear they falsified crash data to include the R34s. R32s and R34s are no longer importable to the USA, only the R33s.
