Hey guys,

I am planning a road trip down to california with a few buddies for next summer and I am running into a problem. You see we will be ages 20, 19 and 19. Do you think it is going to be much of a problem getting into bars and liquore stores seeing we are canadian and everything? Anyone have any experience with this? Thanks a ton guys.

i don't think it matters that you're Canadian. You're not 21, you're not going to get in.

If they don't let you in, just say, "it's ok, I'm Canadian."

You can get into the strippers!! but you will have to wear a nice white shirt that says "minor" in bright letters over top of your shirt so they know you can't be drinking

so if you got to a different province where the drinking age ishigher, can you just say "It's ok im form Alberta..."

Some people just don't think before they open there mouths.

Did a drinking age really stop you from getting into the bars? cmon seriously if you got in when you were 16 and 17 like myself then there shouldn't be a problem in the states. Mind you some people just don't look that old...

It'll be a problem

I remember going down when I was 20, my friends were 21, we went to a pub for a bite to eat and were asked for ID.

I never heard the end of it when they refused to serve me alchohol.

you can go to the clubs and bars in the states if your 18 but they make you wear a bracelet that shows that you cant buy drinks...

Depends on the county alot too... some ID -everyone-... even if you are like 50. Others don't give a shit, if you look 21 its alright.

I'd say 90% of places will ID you if you guys are 19/20 though.

the basic rule is that if you are under 21, you cannot drink in a legal fashion. generally they wont let you in either
