Not sure if it's word play or if it's on propose... but I promise not to Drink and DIVE.

(i.e. not sure if it's a trick for ppl who read and respond fast and the OP comes back and says "You're an idiot", etc... cuz I've been known to mis-read thread and respond un-accordingly and get flame)

Any how if it was meant as Don't drink and DRIVE... then I agree, Drink and Drive FTL. :thumbsdow

Re read what you just wrote!! You can even cheat and read it twice if you like!!

WTF is propose? How about "...accordingly and get FLAME."

Fuckin' hypocrite. Atleast Mike smashed his car pretty damn hard to sound a little off. What's your excuse?

Try and be a bit more thoughtful before you try and up your post count!!

Cheers:thumbsup:

PS. Drinking and driving has pretty close to the same results as drinking and diving.

What are you so pissed off about? :dunno: I was just saying, not sure if "Dive or Drink" is a typo or what not... (or if it was word play or something)

Propose mis-spelt, suppose to be Purpose.
Accordingly's spelt correctly

I never talk shit about "MIKE"... just making sure... Don't be so sensentive.
:whipped: :whipped: :whipped:

And nice of you to EDIT your post, Mr. Right. :banghead: :banghead:

Edit: Me excuse, Engrish me second language. U callin' me a "fuckin' hyporcite"... well drinking and DRIVING have totally different meaning then drinking and DIVING. What I posted was to make sure I'm reading it CORRECTLY (please re-read my last sentence and I'll let you read it as many times as you like, I said: "If this was meant as Drinking and Driving then I AGREE" (to save from posting a SECOND time)... Whereas with YOUR post, you're actually attacking me. :whipped:

Maybe when you can increase your attention span to more than that of a wet dish rag, you will see past the fact that I was calling you out for making the same mistakes that Mike did.

In the bigger picture, you,"oh so politely" waited to be the 20th poster to overlook the sensitive nature of the OP. Only to poke fun at grammatical errors made by someone that is beyond lucky to even be here.

I didn't call you out for mis-spelling accordingly. It's your awesome context of FLAME instead of flameD that I pointed out to your hypocritical self.

Although I was never pissed off, I can understand how you think I may have been seeing that you have a habit of doing so to others on these boards at an almost constant rate.

May I add that we all make mistakes, I am one of them for sure! This time around it was poor timing on your part Sparky.

So before I ask you to "Run along." I will also advise you that my edit was only to add the PS portion.

I am more than likely going to get flamed for this, but I really don't care....that said....

I totally agree with not drinking and driving, but I have a big problem with this post.....

First off, having a licence is a privilege, not a right. You were on probation and still messed up. In my humble opinion, I hope you don't ever get your licence back. You obviously paid no regard to rules.

I am however glad that you are still around, and hope everything in your future works out. But you did do something stupid and I for one do not want to share the road with you.

Am I the only one who finds it annoying as hell that Mud$ella spams the entire forum with all these stupid posts like, "email me promising me to not drink and drive cuz I got brain injured and now annoying everyone is the only way to get a license back that I don't even deserve."

Like c'mon, as if putting up poorly worded posts in giant font will really affect anyone's decision to drive while drinking.

PS. I think it's great that Mudsella is campaigning against drinking+driving, and I'm all for freedom of speech too, but damn, do you have to be so annoying about it?? :banghead:

Yeah I have had a second chance....but not a third. The guy was on probation which is a second chance, you wouldn't be saying that if he would have killed someone you loved during his mess up.

Hello there everyone, my name is Leah, and I am one of Mike’s (Mad$ella) good friends. I have been reading Mike’s threads and posts regularly on Beyond, and trying to give him coaching on how to use the site and what is or is not appropriate. I hope that I can clear some things up for everyone who is interested in Mike’s current condition.

1. As most of you know, Mike was involved in a very bad accident over a year ago. Since then he has been working very hard on his recovery. He spent over 8 months of the past year in hospitals (Foothills and Panoka Brain Injury Program) and is currently back living in Calgary, attending outpatient rehabilitation programs. Mike is able to function at a high level considering his handicap, he is able to eat, dress, shower, shave, read, write and type ect all on his own. However, Mike is handicapped and approaches many of activities is a sweet, innocent, childlike way.

2. Regarding this thread and Mike’s request for pms or emails about “not drinking and driving”; this has nothing to do with Mike getting his license back. Mike works on a system of wishes and promises with his friends and family, he likes it when people promise him they will never drink and drive. He makes everyone he meets promise him that they will never drink and drive, then keeps track of the people and makes wishes for everyone’s safety. It is possible he will never get his license back, he has a minimum 4 year suspension followed by assessment of his functioning before driving can even be a possibility.

3. To everyone commenting about Mikes message and how to best get is across, you will be interested to know that Mike does speak to classes regarding his experience and is currently working on a presentation he will be giving with the Party Program in a few weeks. I listened to his presentation the other night and it was really good.

4. I also think it is important that everyone understand that Mike (Mad$ella) is not the person he used to be, both in personality and ability. He has difficulties with his short and long term memory which causes him to be slightly confused at times. Mike really likes Beyond and is currently attempting to sell his mustang on the site. I have been trying to teach him stuff about beyond, such as appropriate posting etiquette, bumping, and where to post. He is slowly learning and becoming more familiar with how to use the site, so I urge everyone to be patient with him and use discretion when posting.

I hope this helps everyone to understand J If you have any question please feel free to pm me, or Mad$ella if you like.

No, Mike believes that if he tells enought people no to drink and drive his wishes for their safety will eventually allow him to get his car/lic back. I think he sees is as a kind of Karma thing...he tells me wish God will help him get it back.

The thing with brain injured people is that although they may seem to function normally there are certain aspect of thinking/reasoning that are not the same for you and me.

You see Mike can come on beyond and talk about cars and how he is doing and such, and because it is just a computer it is hard to understand where he is actually comming from. Brain injurys are weird and I believe you have to see him in order to fully understand his capabilities.

Anyway hope that helps....I need to stress to everyone that Mike really thinks he is doing a good thing here. This is not some strange and selfish attept to convince a judge to let him drive.

But I do thank EVERYBODY for their support. And I really like beyond.ca.

I AM NOT TRYING TO GET MY LIC. BACK

I am speaking for the Party program today at 1:00

And just once more I would like EVERYONE to promise that they will not drink and drive EVER!!!
This is the last time I will say this sh*t on here!

I'm neither, I was referring to the fact that sigbaby said this has NOTHING to do with him getting his license back, and then Mad$ella edit's his post to read that it has MUCH to do with getting his license back.

Edit to add, and now SiG baby says it does have to do with getting his license back, but Mad$ella says it doesn't :dunno:

I'm not putting him down for doing this, I just like to hear a straight fact, either he is or isn't going to use the emails to get his license back in the future.

Now being someone who dosent know Mike (Mad$ella) i dont care if he is in the right mind frame or not his message is Very IMPORTANT.
Better to pay for a cab than pay with your life or someone elses.

Damn hurts to see Mike is selling his mustang, i know he loved that thing.

And im glad to see Mike getting his message out. He basically lost a large part of his life (lets face it, if any of us lost our cars/ability to drive... something most of us take for granted) we'd be devistated.

Good work Mike and good luck w/ the road to recovery.

Just though I should add to everyone that no person involved in Mad$ellas accident passed on.

All the other individuals involved are back to there lives (working/school ect)... most of them have permenant reminders of the accident, but all are out of hospitals and doing well in life. Just though everyone may want to know this.

Mike, I wish the best to you and I hope a steady recovery...Anything is possible, and youre on the right track.

I went to the party program when I was in highscool and it showed me how this actually happens to people, Mike is living proof and he's doing the right thing to show people that this is real.

I have never moved a car 2 feet after drinking. I never will, nor let my friends.

This is amazing and thanks SiG Baby for clearing things up...I'll admit I was getting deterred by Mike's threads becuase I really didnt understand. I'm sorry for that but hey, I understand now.
Thanks for showing everyone what this is about.

Good luck with your life Mike, and don't stop wanting your licence/ability to drive...In the long run it doesnt seem like much but its always the simple things which people in Mike's state miss the most.

Sorry to hear what happened Mike. I'm actually kind of curious about the specific details of the accident, but you probably don't remember anyways. I agree completely with your message, and I personally promise that I do not drink and drive, never will, and actively go out of my way to make sure others I know don't either. I regularly offer to be the DD in case they don't want to take a cab. Good luck with your message and tell us how the party program went!

I AM NOT TRYING TO GET MY LIC. BACK

I am speaking for the Party program today at 1:00

And just once more I would like EVERYONE to promise that they will not drink and drive EVER!!!
This is the last time I will say this sh*t on here!

you don't sound too handicapped to me with your "shits" and what not...I'm not going to drink and drive because i'm smart, not because you say not to. I hope you don't get your license back, so i won't e-mail or promise you shit. All you got to know is i'm not an idiot and i don't drive when i'm all wasted.

Didn't you have people in your suv too? Are they trying to help you get your license back too?

You might be the biggest moron on beyond.. and that is no small feat either. Are you as stupid and fat as Wiggum?

Since you can't read, find someone where ever you are sitting or forward this on and get them to read it to you over the phone.

Leah

Yes I agree, drinking and driving is stupid, reckless and selfish, but Mike has suffered significantly for his actions. I think your post is insensitive to the issue and there is a big difference between sympathy and compassion. You imply that we are wrong to support Mike in his journey, when in reality it is you who is wrong for judging.

Wow, this post makes me very sad :( ...You "police" are nothing more than a little bully). IMO, making fun of a handicapped person behind a computer screen makes you a mean and increadibly sad human being. If you spent even a moment with Mad$ella, and saw how he is now, I think you would find it very difficult to be as cruel as you have been in this post.

Please I ask the Mods to close this thread if these types of remarks continue. The message not to drink and drive is very important for people to hear, but it is not worth it for this thread to turn into something ugly.
