Seeing as how someone asked about a good viet restaurant... what is a good Korean restaurant? I want some good Korean BBQ. Had some at a kickass place in Edmonton and loved it. Tried one down here and it was ok.

I love Sorabols on 8th Ave next to Area 51. That place next to people's Karaoke is really good too on 10th Ave near 10th Street.

In this order: Korean Village, Bowbugogi, Royal Seoul.

I like Korean village, and Royal Seoul. I find Sorabol to be full of either tour groups or young Korean punks most of the time.

Burger inn down near 17ave sw closed down, the one by tiger billiards got sold, and is now Ross's burgers. I must say, they are damn good!!! Try the "Ross's special" in a double. Easily heavier than a triple arterie clogger at wendy's, and damn near the best tasting burger around in town. Cheap too!!!

Kooorean food!

Here's my opinion...

The food at Korean Village was decent but you usually have to deal with that nut-job of a waitress. Actually, lately the food has gone downhill so that coupled with ordering from Mrs. Kim Jung Il leads me to recommend you stay away.

Sorabol is HORABOL!

Bow Bulgogi is decent…small mom and pa operation…not much ambiance but the food is accepatable.

Royal Seoul is now under new management and now it’s called Dea Jea Gum…or something like that. It’s actually pretty good…I would easily say that it’s the best Korean food in town (that’s not saying much). The food is above average but once again the ambiance is pretty lame and the service is hit and miss.

Calgary is seriously lacking a “whole package” Korean restaurant…it is no where close to Vancouver and Toronto.

You would think that COWTOWN would be a great place to get COWLBI!

not terribly big, but probably comfortable for a bday dinner..

Approximately 3-4 large tables of 12 or so, a "private" room that seats 12, and 10 booths of 4-6 people.

And yeah, don't count on great service. One of the older servers is really bitchy.

Bow Bulgogi is the shit -- I think its the best in town.

Sorabol? Uggh, we used to eat there all the time downtown but only cause the buffet was cheap -- they serve slop there.

Never tried Royal Seoul...will have to.
