After the unfortunate break down of my last camera, I finally purchased a new camera (Samsung s600). Pretty sweet little camera. First picture taken with it:

Well here is an attempt at least :) I am a little frustrated with my outting today doing scenery shots. All my shots seemed to look like 80% of the picture is not in focus...

Like I said in the other thread you posted, it looks like you need to determine the infinite focus point of the lens you're using....there's tutorials on the web about it...that should fix up your "out of focus" areas.....Also, use a tripod, and stop down the aperture to increase your DOF. I noticd you were at f8, not too bad, never hurts to do more, and decrease your shutter see what happens. Oh, and use manual, not "landscape" program. learn your camera!

when you get the pic, there is a thing in pshop that says enlarge canvas size, under edit i believe, play around with that and the backround color,

Nice detail on the moon shot! What lens was used for that? Or was it a telescope rig?
TurboMedic
10-27-2006, 06:02 PM
I'm guessing telescope rig.....I think an 800mm lens and a good crop could get you close....I did mine with a 300mm, and the clouds kinda fuzzed me up.....I'm not a PS pro, but there is a way to layer a photo to increase the detail (I tried everything with layers possible, but no help!)....Great looking shot Davan!
