Is it possible? Serious question, not very knowledgable about dirt bikes but if there is anyway im allowed to get one it would need to be somewhat quiet... my parents are like that, all this space out here... i need to be ripping around on one

I'm not sure if you can suppress the sound on a dirt bike, but the enduro bikes are pretty quiet to start ( and you can ride it on the street :thumbsup: )

What bike do you have? Try and get a 4 stroke, they are much quieter.

Definately.

I wish I had a 4 stroke. Once you ride the two you will see why. No need to mix oil/fuel (which is very annoying), its quieter, linear and predictable power, and newer technology. 2 Stroke makes more power but most of the newer tech is moving towards 4 stroke engines.

I rode a 2 stroke 250 this passed weekend, also rode it drunk and learned a lesson (my back isnt doing so hot), anyway, im addicted and i need one.

its very jumpy on the throttle, but it was killer to ride it.

trail style 4-strokes are pretty quiet, but the race ones are firikkin' loud.

thats somewhat misleading
lots of 4 strokes are super loud, just deeper so its a different loud.

Also, take into consideration the type of silencer. You can get one with extra packing to quiet it down somewhat.

heh ya thats what i was thinking

i ride with a friend that has a ktm 520

that thing is the loudest bike i have ever heard lol!
