It is NOT an M5 but faster than a stock M5.

It's based on a 535i. Beauty, regardless.

It's a nice car, but not exactly a dream car. Dream car = unlimited budget. If I had my choice between an enzo and that car...

I'm not into unlimited money... I look for beauty (I have a soft spot for fast german sedans) Love this car. I had a 87 535i (same engine but slap on a couple turbos) I miss it a lot. Once I get my work situation figured out its time to buy another. I just hope this one is still available or one as nice!

Heh, low mileage, speedo in KMs, 1990, sounds like a cleaned up JDM to me.

J-spec has a Grey 1991 B10 with 63k kms for Y1990000 (20k Canadian?), probably what this guy paid for it. If he gets $40k for it it's a pretty good profitl for him.

:werd: if he sells for 40gs... he'd be laughing....

I see these on J-spec all the time... and all the time I wish I had the $$ to get one

Anyone wanna buy my 325? haha

I'll start saving now. :nut:

This guy has sold many Alpina's before just so you guys know. He will get his 40g buyer.

Difference between him and J-spec?

He goes, picks out the immaculate Alpina's from Auction or private sellers, then brings them back here himself, making sure they stay immaculate, then while there here does proper registration/fixes any small problems wiht them, cleans them all up pretty *or gets someone too* and sells them here.

J-Spec you get a couple pictures, you can most definatly ask for more. Sometimes you can get someone to go out themselves but they may not be looking at the same thing your looking for. Then you still have to hope you can get her home without anyone fucking it up.

I'm sure there are lots of people willing to pay a lot more to be able to see and test drive before they buy.

*shrug*. I'm not knocking the guy or the car, I know what he's doing and if he can get a $10k premium on it all the power to him, but if it's JDM (and although I don't know for sure, I SUSPECT it is) he should really say that on the ad. I.E. He gives the VIN number but AFAIK Carfax isn't going to return anything on a freshly imported JDM VIN(do they?) and anyone who pays for a carfax will be wasting their time.

No one will try to sell a JDM car here on Beyond without saying up front that it's JDM, right?

EDIT: Just ran the VIN through the Carfax's free check, no records, says incorrect VIN entered.

Its not JDM.

Some of the cars may come from a JDM market or auction but all Alpina's are EDM, European. Some from Germany and some from other countries.

Whether its off JDM market ro not wouldn't matter because it was never made there. Same as buying my US made 735iL, first bought in Cali, I bought used from someone in Calgary. He doesn't HAVE to specifiy its a Cali car but he chooses too.

"As noted earlier, this vehicle was not sold new in Canada, which makes it non-compliant with US DOT and EPA requirements. It is possible to bring it into compliance with US DOT and EPA. Click HERE for more information."

He should include what country it came, from your right...

I'm sure all it would take is a quick email to confirm the country of orig.

Well, yeah, but you know what I mean.

All I'm saying is that if he doesn't say up front where he got it from (Japan, or wherever)for a car like that then it's going to sound shady. It's not like he's selling a Civic or a Sunfire here. People who buy cars like this are smart enough to know that. I wouldn't try selling a Japanese car here without telling the guy 5 times it's Japanese.
