Buying car off ebay?

ANy one bought a car off ebay before? I have been taking a look and there are some great deals on all kinds of cars! Is it a good move or is it pretty risky? And once you buy it and ship it and all that stuff, what about the speedo being in mph? does that need to get switched? you do you just have to get used to reading the tiny kms?

There have been lots of threads about importing cars from the States. They will tell you what you need to do to get the car across the border.

I personally would never buy a car without seeing it personally and driving it. By the time you pay for flight to go and check out the car, you're partially committed. I would never do it.

If you do it, make sure the guy has good feedback. get it inspected by a third party first, $100 could save you thousands. a deal too good, is usually a scam. no you don't need to change the speedomter to km/h.. there are a few things u need to do though which is explained in the other thread.
