harzard lights go on

hey guys,

i drive a bmw 318i and recently everytime i start the car my harzards come on automatically, i was just wondering if i should get it checked out or if anyone knows if this means anything... thanks.

How long do they stay on after you start it up?

they stay on untli i turn them off, i know it sounds weird cause you have to click the button for it to go on, so it goes on the the button is not engaged, so to turn it off i have to press the button twice.
