Cliff's: RIAA sued Limewire because they said a recent Supreme Court decision made limewire illegal to operate. Limewire says the RIAA stretch that precedent too far to try and shut down a channel they cannot control (Limewire) to maintain their monopoly on channels they can control (iTunes and record stores).
