so i was driving along beside kaltire ( 16th ave location ) just behind the old free market / go kart place, and i see this little tiny red car. i park my car go look at it (i am behind the fence). turns out to be the smallest car i have seen. the car looked like a honda beat, i can tell because i play grand turismo and the honda emblem on the front. so my friend tells me that this guy that owns it ships cars from japan, so he has all these weird looking cars parked there.

so does anyone no how much he is asking for this car, its been said that it has a NSX engine in it. :dunno:

There is no NSX engine in a Honda Beat. It has a 656CC engine with around 64 hp. It was only 3 cylinder. Unless thats what an NSX has under the hood... :rolleyes: There also a mid engine car and the last Honda model to ever be approved by Soichiro Honda, in 1992!!

eh...close enough. The car's lighter so if it has VTECH it will be just as fast. ;)

It's owned by Import Concern... I got a ride in it... you'll have to actually ask them how much they want, but I seem to remember 8-9k? No idea... I think his username on here is mx73someday, but just go to the site for contact info.

yeah the beats are pretty cool too bad their performance lives up to the name.

That wasn't Import Concern's Honda Beat, must've been a different one. I've never parked near 16th. What color was it?

Its a "yellow" plate here, which means its got less than a 1litre engine.

Beats are one of those cars that the general public isn't much interested here in Japan now (at least from my experience) but there is a small following, and some people are fanatics about them. I'll have to get some pics to post here.

Hello All,
I"ve read the above posts re: the Honda Beat in Calgary,
I"m the owner of the 'Little Guy'

its a 1991 5 speed, 650cc mid-engine,
its a little tight to fit into, but its a whole lot of fun to drive,

I"ve signed up here to hook up with Tunners, I want to trick it out a bit,
any good meets or shops to visit would be helpful,

will be bringing in more soon

It's a 20l tank, lasts about a week of daily driving, they are MR.
