Hey guys,

Well I have just purchased a new computer system

emachine
2.2GHZ
512 mb DDR SDRAM
160GB Harddrive
nVidia GeForce 6100 GPU with available PCI express slot
512kb l2 cache
2000Mhz system bus

amd 64 athlon

Ok so 1st question, is my video card integrated onto the motherboard and if I was to buy another video card do I have to take it off the motherboard(if there is such thing) or do I just shove my new video card in there?

and 2nd, I want this to play some pretty high end 3D graphic games such as age of empire 3, battlefield 2142 and BLACK AND WHITE.

So here is one of the system requirement for the games I really want to run.

1.6GHZ or greater CPU
512MB or more Ram
Video: DirectX 9.0c compatiable

video card must have 64 mb or more memory and support pixel shader version 1.1. With the following chip set supported.

Nvidia Geforce 5 Ti seris, Geforce Fx series, 6200 or greater.

So games with requirement like the above example runs quiet choppy on my cpu and I have to set the quality to the lowest setting.

So is it my video card's problem or my RAM on the cpu acting up?
Which one should I upgrade for a quick fix so the program runs smoothly?

Any suggestion also on which RAM/Video card to get right now at a decent price?

Thanks for reading and appriciate your help!

So at the moment is the Ram's problem for the performance of the games?

My budget is around 150$ for a decent 256mb video card and around 70$ on a ram stick 512 mb...any suggestions?

any input is a appriciated.
