well anyways i'm getting a new car this weekend its a 89 celica gt but sadly its a auto, but in really good shape but i cheked the transmission fluid and its golden brown...so i asked my uncle what kind of fluid he put in it and he said he put in manual tranny fluid in it when he parked the car for good...

so now i'm just wondering what kind of damage he may have caused to the tranny. the only time the car has been driven was for like .4kms on the manual fluid when i took it for a test drive.

Should i get a tranny flush asap before it has a chance to cause any damage?

I don't think much damage would have been caused (at least there was SOME kind of fluid), but I would definately get a tranny flush before I took it out on the road just to be safe. Not to mention that you should maintain your car properly with the right fluids.
