NEC 4 X 256 MB ECC PC800-45

New without package. Bought for the g/f's Dell but we split so it's up for grabs. Mem-x has the samsung kits (2X256) for $299 + tax = $633.88 tax incl. I will sell this stuff for $300 for all 4. Fits any computer that supports RDRAM(RAMBUS) 800-45 ECC :dunno:

idiot?

last time i picked up a 1gb rambus made in 2001, cost me 49 dollars at star computers

and i bought a p4 dell computer on here with 256 , with dvd burner, new dlink pci card, monitor, and all for 120.

so i assumed becasue rambus phasing off and exteremly old thats why it was half the price of the newer cheaper ddr ram

uhh not exactly correct, rambus was always an expensive type of ram that p4's initially were designed to use....but it never went on for too long

generally, as ram is phased out and not produced anymore, it becomes more expensive, why do u think some stores still sell SD ram at prices much higher than DDR, for ram it comes down to supply and demand, for phased out/hard to find ram such as RD ram, the supply is low, therefore the prices are up on them...
