Hey All,

I have a GeForce 7600GT 256MB video card and just having problems with it all of sudden. It was a open box but they said it was checked and everything is fine hmmm. Well I was playing black and white perfectly for 2 days and just recently the heating fan on the card has been acting a little weird as if the card is over heating bc the heat sink isnt connected right so not all the heat are dispersed or some little glitch causing the game to be choppy! It was never choppy for the 1st 2 days, perfect performance. So is it really the over heating problem? And ofcourse I can exchange it for the same card at memoryexpress right?

:dunno: :dunno: :dunno:

Re-seat the heatsink immediately. As an example, an AMD Athlon XP with no heatsink will reach temps of over 300 degrees in a matter of seconds. The card is probably thermal throttling in an attempt to keep itself from burning up, but if you continue like that, you WILL kill it.
