soo my parents are buying me and my brother a new car to share. New car not used. between the price range of 20-27g.

here are some cars that we have looked at:
2007 Honda Fit. i really love the styling of this car. i saw it everywhere in HK and fell in love with it. Problem is...hk was flat. here we have lots of hills. and with that dinky 109 hp i dont know how well it'll hold up here in cgy. we test drove an auto one it was quite slooooow, you guys think standard fit would feel better?
price: 23,000

2007 impreza 2.5rs. lets see...197 hp, awd, new styling. but man i just cant look at it the same way. without the scoop and turbo its just not the same. LoL.
price: 25,000

2007 honda civic (4dr). meh...150ish hp??? big, bulky, slow, fwd, may as well go for the 2.5rs. for pretty much the same price as the subaru.

any other cars you guys would like to throw my way would be greatly appreciated. we are also not really interested in base model cars. o and preferrably japanese made.

u know mugen made a supercharger for a fit they made.
not sure if its available to the public, or if it will be a reasonable price.

The standard Fit is much more nimble. Although, because of that the wait list on a manual Fit is 1 month.

knowing mugen itd probably be hella expensive. and besides if we do get a honda fit, the only thing ill do to it would be mugen exhaust, rims and springs. the sport edition with the factory body kit and spoiler is good enough for the looks, thats why i like it so much. the engine i wont even bother with. too much work and money would have to go into it to make it half decent fast. haha.

and ill sure look into that mazda 3 gt. :)

i think its 173hp for the impreza.

i would also look into the legacy if you dont want to move away from the subie family.

mini cooper?

It depends on what you want to do.

It you want to go fast and race (autocross) at race city, then consider this.

For $20,000 you are in the 14's.

Mine is for sale. $19,500.

See this:
http://www.sportcompactcarweb.com/projectcars/0401scc_project_dodge_neon_srt_4_part_1/
[Quote from them:
After the installation of Mopar Stage One engine hardware in part one (SCC, January '04), Project SRT-4 made some serious numbers: 240 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. With this kind of power on hand, the car would leave stripes on command. More impressive is its ability to make WRX owners cower in fear. At anything above 10 mph, the Neon gone wrong will show its taillights to any stock WRX and even give EVO drivers something to think about in a straight line.]

This particular car has a stage2 (more hp) and a mopar exhaust.

With the extra 1-7000 in your budget, you could make this thing into a barn burner.

If that is your thing...as you said you wanted an import.

Sorry, just re-read your post, you want new.

FWIW, the car does have powertrain warantee to 7yr/115km I think.

Here we go again :repost: haha

Mazda 3 and Suby Impreza would be great choices but everyone has one.

How about a fully loaded Hyundai Accent? :werd:

Actually I would go with the Honda Civic EX. :bigpimp:
I will always be a Honda fan boy at heart. :hitit:

Definately get the Subaru, you get AWD and a nice boxer motor. You will have a car that looks exactly like the WRX minus the hood scoop and it will be good on gas (not as good as the fit or the suggested TDI) and awesome in the winter. They also have amazing reliability and initial quality ratings. IMO their a bargain given the competition.

i was also thinknig toyota corolla srx or whatever. the highest end corolla.
