I would like to introduce out guest for the next six months: WINTER!

He's usually a little restless the first two months, but finally settles down, and is restless for the last two months.

Although he loves Calgary so much, he may even randomly show up afterwards.

On a side note.. why the hell do people go "OMG SNOWFLAKES! I must only go 20 in a 60 even though there's no one in front of me!"???

Ya what the hell? I left for work at the usual time this morning and as sson as I hit Deerfoot from the onramp, I went third gear.....second gear......first.....stopped. What the hell? I thought there was an accident but nope....just a few snowflakes.

That's usually the way it is... I gotta drag my winters up and outta my garage... throw them on... Not like my all seasons are too bad.

This is my first winter here in Calgary so I'm actually looking forward to seeing a lot of snow. I hear I'm in for quite a shock temperature wise though. We got like, 2 days max of snowfall every winter in the town I used to live in haha :bigpimp:

I've heard from lots of places we aren't going to get any snow accumulation until December. Very mild winter. When it snows, I'm told it shouldnt accumulate or if it does it will be gone when the warm weather comes the next day or two. Who knows though.

For now, I'll just keep enjoying the dry roads and cold air as my turbo's love it. I'd say my car is 10-20% faster when it isn't 30 degrees outside and nicely around 0 degrees.

well i gotta say that down south, isn't too bad. Theres no snow around where i work,or any where for that matter. i think winter had alittle premature accident.

I seriously don't understand drivers here in Calgary. The first snowfall, and suddenly, everyone forgets how to drive. How many accidents were there monday morning? A whole freaking lot of them.

"OMG, what's this white stuff? I have never seen it before...except for last year about this time, and the year before theat...."

I still have my summer tires on my car, and I managed to safely navigate to and from work with no difficulty.

my first winter here in calgary too, i hope it is better than where i used to live (better=mild winter)
dont really care about the snow, just the cold temps like -30 -40C plus windchill
